Craig Venter's "A Life Decoded"

March 24, 2009

A dear friend’s father gave me Dr. Venter’s biography for Christmas. I had so much fun reading it that I too gave a copy to my cousin that recently got accepted to grad school. It contains pieces of actual scientific content, stories of failure and success and a clear picture of how much politics goes into science. All of that packed in great narrative and absorbing stories in a soap-opera-like drama with very famous scientists. A great way to warn my cousin of what she’s getting into! Well, at the same time providing motivation and lots of inspiration. 🙂
