Sun Java in Ubuntu 11

January 26, 2011

I don’t know why Sun’s Java was not available in Ubuntu 11, but this did it for me:

 sudo add-apt-repository "deb lucid partner"
 sudo apt-get update
 sudo apt-get install sun-java6-jre sun-java6-plugin sun-java6-jdk

$ cat /etc/*-release

  1. Wonder why no one “likes” it ?. cause your commands are incorrect.

    • Oh, come here. Give me a hug. 🙂 We love you. There, there. Now, tell me, what are the correct commands?

  2. Glenn permalink

    didn’t work for mee keeps saying “It’s not avaible but there’s another aplication thats being refered to” some weird sh*t ugh and unless JDK suddenly works with MC now I don’t rly care to use that instead
